IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR MCYEP SUPPORTERS
We want to remind you that MCYEP, led by Myra McIlwain, is an integral part of our TNMC family. We encourage those who already back MCYEP to continue their generous support through MCYEP’s own giving channels, while also considering some of the initiatives we are undertaking here that focus on programs both in Guatemala and beyond. Myra and I deeply value your contributions, which are clearly reflected in the scholarships awarded to the remarkable youth of Chiquimula, Guatemala.
Please note that the programs outside Guatemala are the ones we highlight in these updates. We are also grateful for the love and support extended toward community development and entrepreneurship projects in Rwanda, youth education in Kenya, youth and medical aid in Pakistan, nutrition and goat farming entrepreneurship in Nepal, school renovations in Ghana, community outreach in Baltimore, Maryland, and our special initiative to provide school shoes for the youth in Chiquimula—TNMC’s annual way of strengthening our partnership with MCYEP.

Now entering our seventeenth year, Thirst No More Corporation (TNMC) remains dedicated to meeting the essential needs of underserved communities through humanitarian aid, educational programs, medical care, clean water projects, community development, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

From now until December 31, 2026, our aim is to raise $25,254 to address urgent spiritual and humanitarian needs in six countries and to sustain the ongoing work of our organization.

Why These Projects Matter
🇬🇹Guatemala
Children should never miss school because they lack proper shoes. Your support provides dignity, confidence, and opportunity for students to continue their education. (To be clear, we currently collaborate directly with Dunia Diaz de Calderon, a local female shoe distributor in Chiquimula, Guatemala. Dunia generously offers us discounted prices on genuine leather shoes because she believes in our mission, and she frequently donates extra athletic shoes beyond our purchases. We avoid shipping shoes from the United States due to high shipping costs and because we aim to empower entrepreneurs within the community we serve.)
🇷🇼 Rwanda
The indoor kitchen in Bugesera District will provide a safe, sanitary place to prepare meals for children, families, and community gatherings for years to come. I have had the pleasure to spend quite a bit of time in the area of Rwanda that is located outside the city of Kigali. (Myra and I intend to construct a second home and office in this area, as our vision extends far beyond the kitchen project. We aim to create a meaningful impact in this village community by developing a school with smart classrooms, a training center, a medical clinic, a sports complex, affordable housing, solar farms, hostels, and much more—all conveniently situated just minutes from a new airport being built nearby.)
🇰🇪 Kenya
Education changes generations. Your gifts will help college students studying in Nairobi remain enrolled while also supporting educational programs for children and youth in Naivasha and Kisii. (the month of August is a critical month for this support as tuitions and school supply needs are forthcoming in both cities.)
🇺🇸 Baltimore, Maryland
Through RAP Outreach, we continue serving vulnerable individuals with practical assistance, encouragement, and community outreach every month. (RAP demands continuous financial support, given the monthly costs for storing outreach supplies and other administrative expenses that help us assist our community friends in Baltimore, Maryland. (We also aim to broaden RAP's influence by establishing a lasting partnership with TNMC Board Member Jennifer Gibson, owner of Strength To Love Assisted Living. Together, our long-term vision is to repurpose abandoned city properties into additional assisted living facilities, alongside mentoring and other initiatives designed to better serve the needs of the residents.)
🇳🇵 Nepal
Families in the regions of Chitwan, Kathmandu, and Lalitpur facing food insecurity need immediate relief while sustainable goat farming provides lasting income and self-sufficiency for the future. (For the third consecutive month, we have faced challenges in fully supporting families in Nepal with adequate nutrition, sometimes having to reduce both the quantity of food and the number of families we assist. Monthly nutritional costs amount to $500. Despite these difficulties, we remain committed to aiding households affected by unemployment. Goat farming stands out as the most effective way for families to secure both nourishment and income. In partnership with TNMC Coordinator Raju Bhitrakoti from the Himalayan Tribal Community Development (HTCDN), we are establishing home-based businesses that equip each family with three goats, a goat shelter, and veterinary care, ensuring the success of every project. The investment per family is approximately $600 per household)
🇵🇰 Pakistan
Medical care and the love of Christ continue to open doors in underserved communities. Your generosity will help provide medical services while also giving children a joyful Christmas celebration they may never otherwise experience. (Due to rising costs, we require an extra $700 to fund the medical clinic scheduled for August, along with further financial assistance to supply more school materials and to continue our Christmas support, which brings hope and encouragement to the community of Jahanian, Multan, Pakistan.)

I deeply recognize the challenges we all face during these difficult economic times. I also appreciate that when our supporters choose to give, they need to trust that the organization will use the majority of every gift to directly benefit our projects. To demonstrate our commitment to our communities rather than personal gain, TNMC has currently decided not to pay any salaries. Personally, I contribute at least $400 each month to cover administrative expenses, and I am open about this. Despite this, administrative costs continue to increase annually, and we strive to ensure your donations are not burdened with significant overheads. Fortunately, many of our board members also contribute financially to keep our organization running. I can confidently say that right now, between 85% and 90% of every donation supports our mission, with the small difference mostly due to fees from payment platforms like PayPal and Stripe.
Understanding that we are seeking over $25,000 to meet TNMC’s needs for the rest of the year, we kindly ask those who wish to give but are unable to consider reaching out to their business networks that support nonprofits. Please share with them why supporting TNMC matters. Perhaps your churches or civic groups might be interested in backing a reputable nonprofit recognized by Candid for effectively addressing poverty both locally and globally.
