In the quiet village of Ratnanagar 14, Pithuwa, Gairigaun, lives a mother named Mamata Syantan — a woman of unwavering strength and endless love. Mamata is the single mother of six beautiful children. When her husband abandoned the family, she was left with the heavy burden of survival resting entirely on her shoulders. Each day, she labors tirelessly as a daily wage worker, earning just enough to put a small meal on the table. Despite her exhaustion, her heart remains full of dreams — dreams of a better life for her children.

A Vision for a Better Tomorrow

Mamata believes in the power of goat farming — not as a handout, but as a hand up. With a few goats, she can begin raising a sustainable source of income: selling milk, offspring, and manure to provide food, education, and stability for her family.

This small start holds the promise of transformation — not just for Mamata, but for her children and the generations to come.

The Answer to a Mother’s Prayer

Through the compassionate support of Thirst No More Corporation and our Goat Farming Project in Chitwan, Nepal, Mamata’s prayer has been answered. She has now received her goats and the training to begin her journey toward independence.

For Mamata, these goats mean hope restored, dignity renewed, and a future reclaimed. She no longer faces each day in despair but now rises with purpose — knowing she can feed her children and send them to school.
